Road improvements[edit]

"No trace remains of the station; part of the site was used in the late 1970s for improvements to the adjacent road junction." What is the evidence for this? I am happy to be proved wrong, but take a look at these photos I took of the junction in 1975 and 2006: http://www.flickr.com/photos/86235980@N00/306397543/in/set-72157594181686808/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/86235980@N00/318646109/in/set-72157594181686808/

A lot has changed but the road looks the same! Bruern Crossing (talk) 07:35, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

After further reflection I think the road has indeed been altered to cut across a small part of the railway BUT it was done before I took the first photo! The curved wooden fence has been erected on the new boundary. So the only thing wrong with the original statement is the date of the "late 1970s" - it must have predated my photo of May 1975. Can anyone supply a more accurate date? Bruern Crossing (talk) 20:47, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bont Newydd should read Bontnewydd[edit]

Photographs of the station show the name of the station on the nameboards as one word "Bontnewydd". Suggest altering?Steamybrian2 (talk) 12:17, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
