Checking against GA criteria[edit]

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
Reasonably well written, I made one minor or copy-edit
The second sentence of the lead contains material that is not in the article. The lead does not appear to fully summarise the article. Please check WP:LEAD
Fixed; the rest of the article now has a source for its anchors. I have no idea what else to put in the intro.
General Growth also operates an adjacent strip mall, Boise Towne Plaza, which is anchored by Old Navy.[3] In addition, the mall owns nine freestanding businesses on its property, including major retailers PetSmart and Pier 1 Imports. None of this is in the article, just the lead. It is unclear whether the second sentence here refers to Boise Towne Plaza or Boise Towne Square.
Do you think the article would flow better if all the info on the plaza were in one section?
Well, if it is the lead then it needs to be in the article. A subsection on the plaze would be a good idea. Perhaps a plan, using {http://www.openstreetmap.org/} would help make things clearer.
The food court is mentioned in the lead but not in the article.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
References appear OK, RS, no evidence of OR
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
The article is missing statistics about turnover, number of shoppers per year, etc. Also what impact has the mall had on other stores/malls in the area?
Turnover of what? The change in anchors is fully covered here, and listing turnover of inline stores would be WP:IINFO. The article already mentions that Sears moved from an older mall called Westgate, but I can't find any other information on it — maybe caldorwards4 can help there. I've found some information on Karcher Mall, which I'll try to add.
I removed the mention of the Westgate Sears; I'd have to more research to confirm that store's history.--Caldorwards4 (talk)
I accept that there probably is not published information on the gross annual turnover and that individual turnovers are not necessary. I was thinking of stuff like the children's play area, wheelchair service, stroller rental.[2] There's some good information about size of the mall, annual number of customers, parking spaces, the trade area profile, etc. here Public transportation information on routes that serrvice the mall should not be too hard to find. I note that there are a few hotels nearby, are these on the mall owner's ground?
I'll work on adding that. I was on vacation for a couple days and forgot to put up a notice. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 03:33, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I should also add that as this has been nominated under the Arts and architecture section, there is no information about construction, materials, architects, etc.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    Images, licensed and captioned.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
On hold for seven days for issues to be addressed. Jezhotwells (talk) 19:22, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well there have been some fixes, but most of the suggestions for better coverage have not been addressed, so I shall not be listing at this time. The GAN backlog drive should hopefully reducing the waiting time upon any renomination. Jezhotwells (talk) 17:59, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
