Why did you do it[edit]

Am I missing something -- or is the article?[edit]

"On appeal, Long's death sentence was vacated, his conviction reversed, and his case remanded back to the trial court with directions to enter an order of acquittal for the murder of Virginia Johnson.[citation needed] Execution" Doesn't acquittal mean "free from the charge of an offense by verdict, sentence, or other legal process"(Webster's New Collegiate)? But the next sentence tells of his execution. It is confusing for sure. Seems like there was little news coverage of Long before his 2019 execution, I'm struggling to find sources not from the year he died. Cahlin29 (talk) 04:24, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
