Bob Ryland: not the first African American to play professional tennis?[edit]
Helping my daughter research for Black History month... Althea Gibson played on the professional tour in the early 50s, and won the French Open in 1956 before Ryland appeared in Cleveland. Beej65 (talk) 15:07, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
