Death[edit]

Fito de la Parra's autobiography gives a slightly different account of Hite's death. According to him, a drunken Hite overdosed on heroin between sets, was about to pass out and was given a large dose of cocaine to revive him for the second set. When this didn't succeed, he was put in a van while the band finished the second set without him. Roadies drove Hite to de la Parra's house, where they discovered he was no longer breathing and paramedics arrived too late to save him. I'm changing this paragraph accordingly, as I consider an eyewitness account of the event to be more reliable than the current source, which is not even specifically about Hite or Canned Heat. "booming falsetto voice"[edit]

Hite certainly had a strong voice but when did he sing falsetto? Certainly not on "Fried Hockey Boogie." Can someone document Hite singing falsetto? 72.130.204.150 (talk) 06:31, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
