Page deletion discussion[edit]

I am astonished to hear that pages on Bluewater have been deleted no less than five times, as Bluewater is one of the largest railway preservation entities in Michigan, and is rather unique among railway preservation organs.

I cannot comment as to whether the average NRHS chapter is encyclopedic, however Bluewater is among the largest, and not representative of NRHS chapters in general, as few preserve (let alone operate) equipment.

Ob-CoI-disclosure: I'm in California. I've had nothing to do with Bluewater since the late 1980s, when I was a passive member who got their newsletter, rode a few for-the-public excursions, and visited their facilities once or twice. I still have a few of their newsletters on file and will backfill with details if I can. I'm adding to this Talk because there have been no less than 5 incidents of Bluewater's page being deleted out of hand, perhaps due to the way it was being created. Hopefully this will be more proper. Harpwolf (talk) 03:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Potentially biased point of view[edit]

This page appears to have been written mostly by someone who is either in the company, a former member, or an associate of it. Words like "successful" do not belong on any encyclopedic article due to the fact that "success" is subjective. I have thus flagged this article so it may be improved.  Done Its gone now. 68.62.51.65 (talk) 22:43, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done I removed the POV-check template that has been pending since November 2009. That is too long. The article was updated over a year ago and reading it over now, it does not seem to be biased. Jeff Ogden (talk) 03:24, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
