Jeanne de Chateaudun[edit]

Jeanne de Chateaudun was the first wife of Jean de Brienne, not his second. Marie could not have been his first wife as she died in 1285 and his daughter Blanche was born around 1252. Jeanne died after 1263.--jeanne (talk) 12:24, 19 September 2008 (UTC) ..Jeanne was certainly the mother of Blanche as the latter inherited the title of Loupeland from Jeanne. Jean and Jeanne are recorded as having married in 1251.--jeanne (talk) 12:30, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is evidence Marie married Jean de Brienne before 1257, therefore Jeanne de Chateaudun had to have died before 1257 not after 1263.Either way, Jeanne had to have been Jean's first wife. Jean was her second husband.--jeanne (talk) 12:59, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Number of children[edit]

There is confusion over the number of children William and Blanche had. I have listed three, since these can be verified. However, there may have been another son, Robert and two daughters, Isabeau and Yolande, bringing the total to five.--jeanne (talk) 16:03, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
