Why a new article?[edit]

I don't really see a point in this being a seperate article. It'll be a stub/start article forever. It's a reboot of the Blackhawk (DC Comics) concept. The fact that there are no ties in terms of continuity doesn't make it a separate thing. The concept is the same - a government/extra paramilitary group run by Checkmate and employed by various things. || Tako (talk) 02:25, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Normally I'd agree, except there appears to be no connection between this "reboot" and the long-established Blackhawk character (for which the original article, Blackhawk (DC Comics), is named). Yes, a very basic premise is shared, but if you take a quick look at Blackhawk (DC Comics), you'll see the article's been growing pretty dramatically as it examines all the different versions of the original team — and I still have significant territory to cover. I believe that when this new article is fleshed out with an origin summary, character discussion, and crossover details — not to mention the fact DC is likely to continue on with these new characters — a separate article will be more than warranted. I'm thinking that cramming wholly-unrelated characters and situations into the existing Blackhawk (DC Comics) article is just going to cause more confusion than it clears up.
