Untitled[edit]

This page consists of about 72 lines dealing with the band's history and only 14 lines on its activities in the last six years. How does that make it 'slanted towards recent events'? Earldelawarr (talk) 15:33, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The present text has clearly moved on from your comments. However, all activities currently noted from 1998 to date are unreferenced. Moreover, they are regularly subject to unsourced and opinionated edits, clearly trying to slew the wording towards the pro and anti Colin Gibb camps. Please stop this nonsense and consider firstly that the article is primarily about the 'band' and is meant to be encyclopaedic. Perhaps it is also worth pointing out what Wikipedia is not. In addition, such edits are contrary to Wikipedia editing guidelines; such as verifiability and promotion.

Why isn't there any mention of Colin Routh? Pandaplodder (talk) 16:09, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

VANDALISATION[edit]

It would appear that the Black Lace page is being deliberately vandalised, many of the articles relating to the bands history(especially items relating to Colin Gibb) are being removed in favour of what the band may or may not be doing at the moment.Wagnow (talk) 09:46, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– As the other entries at "Black Lace" are redirects I suggest that the band is the primary meaning. PatGallacher (talk) 22:15, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the statement "A 'Black Lace special' on the BBC 2 rock show The Old Grey Whistle Test" because the show wasn't a Black Lace Special. It was a jokey film report by Liz Kershaw in the guise of Mysterious femme fatale Dawn Chorus who "investigates the Black Lace phenomenon" on 11th June 1985. Black Lace did not play in the studio. The statement has now been replaced by Now1234 with an edit comment 'Replace genuine content, removed by possible vandalism'. It wasn't vandalism it was an attempt to give accurate information. I shall edit the article again and remove "A 'Black Lace special' on the rock show" and just leave "The Old Grey Whistle Test". EhsanQ (talk) 12:58, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
