It is worth noting that the Black Country and the Black Country Geopark are not identical areas. As the former article notes the borders of this industrialised district are not fixed and debate continues as to 'where to draw the line'. The Geopark on the other hand has to have fixed boundaries and these are provided by the external boundary of the four councils involved in the initiative. One result is that a description of the geology of the Geopark will differ marginally (in both senses) from that of the Black Country 'per se'. Geopersona (talk) 19:28, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
