Local People As Notable Or Famous?[edit]

Is this guy really that notable? This seems to be a case of POV. Mr. C.C. 04:38, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Robert "Bicycle Bob" McRurry[edit]

The following person was removed from the list of notable people from Birch Hills. He will remain here just so people know who he is.

Robert 'Bicycle Bob' McRurry is a well known member of the small community. He has lived there for a number of years fixing many bikes and bringing smiles to little kids. He now is the dump manager, and enforces the code of the Dump. Bob is an exelent person to sell tickets at any local event. or any event period. If you know him or have bought a ticket you know exactly why.

Norwegian dialect?[edit]

Years and years ago there was an article somewhere about the surivival of spoken Norwegian in North America; Birch Hills was one of the only places in Canada where it apparently remained in steady home/community use; and in connection with a particular dialect from Norway, or with the peculiar dialect-variations found among North American Norwegians. Anyone contributing here know anything about this? I'm Norwegian, but not connected to Birch Hills (Endre Johannes Cleven was my grandfather).Skookum1 (talk) 18:36, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
