Untitled[edit]

I'd like to disambiguate this page with the other "Bill Kennedy" but I'm not sure how. Do you rename the other one to "Bill Kennedy (scientist)" then make a new disambiguation page called "Bill Kennedy" that links to both? Or just put a note at the top of the other page saying there's another Bill Kennedy? User:Rees11 22:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You should sign your posts by ending them with four tildes. The merge looks good. I did the redirect for you. I wonder if you'd mind incorporating the fair-use photo from the second website in the Bill Kennedy article, and meanwhile I was thinking of screen-capturing the photo of him doing the track announcer in the "Joey" episode. By an odd coincidence, the fourth and final collection of the Adventures of Superman DVD series is due out tomorrow. P.S. There was a quote in the Grossman book about Kennedy's immortal rendition of "Faster than a speeding bullet..." Do you know what I'm talking about? Wahkeenah 01:54, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm reluctant to re-use the photo from my web site. It was scanned from an autographed publicity photo for me by a friend. I'm willing to post it on my own web site and take the chance that some heir will object, but I don't know that I can put it on Wikipedia and claim that its copyright status is clear.

As for linking to my own web site, I did read the guidelines before doing this, and I think it's ok. My web site is non-commercial and is pretty much the definitive web reference on Bill other than maybe IMDB and, now, Wikipedia.

Don't know the Grossman book. I was a Superman fan too, and remember watching the show around 1960, so it was probably in early re-runs.

Great photo you added here. It really captures the essence of Bill. Rees11 02:01, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bill Kennedy in Superman 66 Joey.JPG[edit]

Image:Bill Kennedy in Superman 66 Joey.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
