2017[edit]

there used to be a well edited page about the a & e show Beyond Scared Straight and even have details about list of the shows episodes somehow it's gone and ridiculously redirect to a page for the 1978 documentary and make an massive confusion between the series and the documentary — Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.69.100.160 (talk) 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Controversy[edit]

I'm not sure what purpose the line "The program helps teens by scaring them straight through a lousy concept" serves. Is this a quote from someone? If yes, it might be helpful to include who, and if not, it just seems like a random non-impartial opinion rather than genuine description. Beyond Scared Straight is loved by viewers and fans[edit]

Beyond Scared Straight is actually the best series, regardless of the criticism from the juvenile justice experts and the Department of Justice. Most people, especially the fans, believe that it's really effective in changing bad teens' lives, although some teens have changed and some have not after the program. These teens just need to be intimidated and broken down by inmates and officers because they need to understand that jail is not the place they want to go to. Most of the episodes were great and loved by viewers and fans and there were only a few episodes that were hated and unimpressed.
