Relationship with Delta Mu Delta?[edit]

While editing Delta Mu Delta I noted that chapters of that society would become chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma once their schools were accredited as four-year institutions. Is there a formal agreement for this process, so that ALL DMD chapters are adopted by BGS in this situation? Jax MN (talk) 13:45, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jax MN Not all, but yes formal. See https://deltamudelta.org/about/society-bylaws/ Section 6, and https://sigmabetadelta.org/about-us/professional-affiliations/ and https://deltamudelta.org/about/professional-affiliates/ for more info. Not sure *everything* is in one place but Delta Mu Delta, Beta Gamma Sigma, Sigma Beta Delta and Kappa Beta Delta are all member of the Federation of Business Honor Societies and it appears that each refers to all of the others in non-competitive ways. Theoretically you can have both DMD and SBD chapters but that requires the school to be dual accredited which is rare.Naraht (talk) 12:06, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
