Birthplace[edit]

I realize that most sources give his birthplace as "Garafraxa County, Ontario" — but the problem is that no such thing has ever actually existed. There was a West Garafraxa township in Wellington County, which is now part of the municipality of Centre Wellington, and there still is an adjoining East Garafraxa township in Dufferin County, but there's never been a Garafraxa County. If you need further proof, compare the date on this map to Lindsay's birthdate. So what we need here is a better source to clarify whether he belongs in Category:People from Centre Wellington, Ontario or Category:People from Dufferin County, Ontario. Never mind. The searchable list of census records attached to that map lists a Lindsay family living in West Garafraxa, but none in the east part. Centre Wellington it is, then. Bearcat (talk) 08:56, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
