Coat of arms a visual pun?[edit]

It seems doubtful that the bear on the coat of arms is a visual pun on the name of Berneck, but rather a bear which is common on the flags in the area of St Gallen. The only source of this "pun" theory seems to be the fotw site, which doesn't seem particularly authoritative. Delete this sentence (and reference) perhaps? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.8.40.126 (talk) 13:35, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
