Death of Stan Ogden[edit]

It is said that "Stan had died in hospital as a result of the character's gangrene". I vaguely recall seeing the episode. My recollection was that he died at home - he had been bedridden and unseen for weeks (the actor being unavailable - and represented only by a mumbled voice from a stand-in) - when Hilda went upstairs to him and was heard to scream.
