please explain motivation for reversion

I removed a link to jacobs ladder and noted: "text had: "abandoned the wreck of their ship on a Jacobs ladder" where the text "Jacobs ladder" is a simple link to the wiki page for ladder. One assumes that the reader knows what a ladder is and that does not need a cross reference." -- that change was reverted. Can you please explain why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.113.28.133 (talk) 05:45, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

I believe I have solved the problem with the term "Jacob's ladder" with doing some editing of the article Ladder. I have also changed the link in the article Bernard C. Webber so that the link directs to the term "Jacob's Ladder". Hope this helps with your concerns. Cheers. Cuprum17 (talk) 17:41, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Agreed. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.113.28.133 (talk) 04:36, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Rank

While the photo and the picture says his rank is BM1, the text says he rose to CW officer. This is quite a discrepancy. Okay to have photo of prior rank with an explanation, but not quite sure he wasn't busted back to BM1! Student7 (talk) 16:08, 7 November 2016 (UTC) Student7 (talk) 16:08, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
