I have a feeling that someone inside the company company is editing this page. I already cleaned this page for neutrality once, and parts have been rewritten to a biased point of view. - October 7th 2006

However bias the Copyright Controversy section might be, it's no-where near as one-sided as the "Products" section. It's a statement of fact that the brand is often regarded poorly, and has been challenged about designs - but to speculate on the supposed performance and value of equipment is well beyond the scope of an unbias article.
Reads like a marketing piece
Statements like "offer a quality that competes and is comparable with competitors products" are clearly offering a point of view, especially in light of the fact that Behringer gear is widely derided by professional musicians and recording studio personell. 210.239.48.141 04:37, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
About the BCD2000 controversy
I stop it adding again again, try it yourself, if you don't believe that... It however works, if you disable half of your hardware, like the DVD-RW, the WLAN, the BlueTooth and ACPI drivers. If you think, this is OK, I think, you're wrong....

- the problem is not weather or not its true or even believable. it with weather or not its citable. In the edits in its current form, it cites nothing but blogs, and one e-editorial online. These do not satisfy WP:CITE and WP:NOTE. Please read these and determine a way to improve the section before re-adding it. RCHM 22:01, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Edits by BEHRINGER
I am an employee of BEHRINGER, and, in the name of transparency, wanted to explain the edits I made to BEHRINGER's Wikipedia article on 4/8/09. It was certainly not my intent to whitewash the article, and I made every attempt not to. The only edits I made were to the information section and product section. The information I provided was not contradicting previous information, but simply adding to it. I did my best not to change the tone of the article. - Your contribution was neutral, in my estimation, so thanks for your input. Your use of all-caps may be standard for promotional purposes at your company but at Wikipedia the manual of style says, basically, "too bad". Another Question
Before making any further edits, I would like to get feedback from the Wikipedia community on the following text as to whether or not it is acceptable. If it is not, what would make it acceptable? It is basically a rewrite of the first section. The info comes from the Behringer website and is meant to supplement the information already provided in the article.
Behringer International GmbH (Behringer) is an audio equipment manufacturer founded in its present form by Uli Behringer in 1989, in Willich, Germany. Today, Behringer has a presence in 10 countries and territories around the world and employs around 3,500 people. Since 2002, Behringer's manufacturing has been based out of Behringer City, an ISO 9001/9002 factory, located in Zhongshan in China's Guangdong province. Behringer produces many of the internal components used in its products including speakers and the pulp for speaker cones. Behringer's stylized ear logo is used to symbolize the company's approach to design as well as represent a nickname that Uli Behringer was given as a young piano student -- "The Ear."

I updated the products section to list a more complete and up-to-date description of Behringer's product offerings. I used Behringer's current product catalog as a citation as there is really no other way to cite that information. Will at BEHRINGER (talk) 16:42, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, use that lead section text if you like. I don't think specific examples of speakers and pulp for cones are needed in the lead paragraph, but those details could be used later in the article text. I would put the logo sentence in its own paragraph.

- Thanks for the feedback. I updated the article with more facts about the company. Binksternet's suggestion and help regarding sections and style made me realize that different sections for the different info were preferred rather than adding the info in the opening section. I actually shortened the opening section as to not be redundant in information that I was adding to new sections. I added a section that described Behringer's production facilities. I feel this is notable as Behringer, unlike some of its competitors, owns its own production. However, I tried to be overly careful as to not make quality statements about this fact. I also added a section that more completely and accurately described the type of products that Behringer manufactures. Once again, I intentionally avoided providing a huge list of all our products by name. Another section that I added was about the Ear logo. I made sure to only describe the intent behind the use of the logo. Finally, I added an About the founder section as well as a notable users section. These sections simply provide more background and facts about the company and the people who use its products. I did my sincere best to operate within Wikipedia's style conventions, but I will admit I am no expert in them. The vast majority of the information I provided did come from Behringer's website, blog and catalog. After reviewing Wikipedia's articles on citations, I feel that these sources are the only viable sources for the type of information I provided and are thus acceptable sources. The last change that I made was to change the product image. The image that was provided was a product that has been discontinued. I want to distance myself from any further edits that might be made to this page by Behringer or its employees. As a matter of principle as Social Media Coordinator, I have refused to attempt to delete the "Controversy" section or any content in it from the Behringer entry. This has ultimately resulted in the loss of my job. All edits I have made are fully documented to the best of my ability and transparent. I will make no more edits to the Behringer entry in the future. Will at BEHRINGER (talk) 16:46, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
