Fingerprints – DNA[edit]

The classic technique in such cases, used in forensic sciences, is to reveal fingerprints by different dactyloscopic powders. Therefore, DNA profiling was performed on physical fingerprints left on glass and wooden plates, in order to establish eventual problems or interferences involved by using both techniques simultaneously. Eleven dactyloscopic powders were investigated on their influence on DNA typing. The results show that some can be used together with DNA profiling but that serious precautions have to be taken to avoid contamination. http://www.unboundmedicine.com/evidence/ub/citation/10546822/DNA_typing_of_fingerprints_using_capillary_electrophoresis:_effect_of_dactyloscopic_powders_ Rjtucker (talk) 10:20, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Imprisonment and accusations[edit]

In this section, it's written: "She said that she was the person they had been looking for and that she was the reason why the whole city had been closed off"
Why was the city closed off ? WHat happened? ...? --HawkFest (talk) 12:33, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After the deaths of Mundlos and Böhnhardt and the setting fire to the place where they lived she travelled here and there by train. On 8 November 2011 she was about 200 meters from where her mother and grandmother lived and saw, or thought she saw, it was being watched by police. She tried to turn herself in by telephone but the police did not take in who she was. In exasperation she pointed out that the whole town was "abgesperrt", closed off, and police cars were everywhere. The policeman taking her call said he knew nothing of the town being closed off.

Racism before the fall of the wall[edit]

Although in many opinions the statement about racism being widespread in eastern Germany before the fall is true the mentioned source does not support this statement, since it describes racist violence after the fall as a result of the revolutionary changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.198.82.40 (talk) 09:17, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The source does state: "Further, latent hostilities toward East Germany's African and Asian guest workers quickly exploded into racist violence." I'm not sure the two references below can serve as citations, possibly some of the references given by the second could:

Group mislabeled as right-wing[edit]

It clearly says that it's a national SOCIALIST group, so it' left-wing, not right wing. You can't be socialist and right wing at the same time. 73.121.228.133 (talk) 00:45, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And you're a political illiterate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.236.169 (talk) 13:34, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Have you no idea that "nazi" is short for "national socialist"? Mhkay (talk) 07:06, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Missing information[edit]

The article leaps from discussion of her upbringing and political awakening to her handing herself in at a police station claiming responsibility for certain crimes, and subsequent conviction. There is no information anywhere about the crimes for which she was convicted, or her role in them. Mhkay (talk) 07:06, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mens rea[edit]

That Zschäpe was mentally aligned with the actual murders – pure supposition? Evidence she more than overheard the planning? Evidence that her "covering" for the others (Mundlos and Böhnhard) was part of a/the plan rather than mere loyalty to them (as a "brown housewife")?
