Lots more information given in: Battle of Idistaviso and: Battle of the Teutoburg Forest[edit]
Sirs/Mesdames:
I found out about this battle through a link at the Battle of Idistaviso.
If you visit the "Aftermath" section of the Battle of Idistaviso#Aftermath you will find movements of other troops, and the recall of Germanicus mentioned there.
It would not be hard to cut-and-paste some sentences or paragraphs and bring them over. The linked section to the Early Imperial campaigns in Germania also mentions things that might be relevant.
Finally, a look into the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest would set the stage for these Punitive raids. See the "Roman retaliation" section of the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest#Roman retaliation for more information.
