Notability[edit]

I found this page because I was helping a teenager who was looking for this book but didn't remember the author or title. So I was thankful for this article's existence. I also agreed that Vonda McIntyre is a notable author. Based on the existing article, I was not sure that this book met the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability (books), especially given the state of the article. However, I find that it appears in Gillespie, John Thomas and Naden, Corinne J. (1990) Best Books For Children: Preschool through Grade 6 (4th edition) R.R. Bowker, New York, ISBN 0-8352-2668-9; Gillespie, John Thomas (1991) Best Books For Junior High Readers R.R. Bowker, New Providence, New Jersey, ISBN 0-8352-3020-1; Children's Book Committee (1988) Children's Books Of The Year Child Study Association of America, New York, OCLC 18373492; and was a runner-up for the New Mexico The Land Of Enchantment Children's Book Award 1990.
