This isn't an article about bands../<RIJVAN>/.it's an advertisement. The PLAN NINE thing needs to go ASAP.

Fixed. Thanks for the tip! --Commander Keane 16:57, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

purplehippos[edit]

Good morning:P How R U Im will be your teacher throught this long day of school first of i got to tell you about purple hippos so here it goes

THIS IS JUST NONSENSE!!! D

  • Purple hippos are one of the worlds less common know animal.
  • I love purple hippos for one and would hate if they were to diaper.
  • If you go to your local zoo you can see your hippos.
  • There is also an organization that is called that.
  • If you were to ever come across these wonderful animals don't touch just admire.
  • Now for some facts????????????

& Purple hippo are coming more and more rare due to lack of imagination by kids. & The most found purplehippos are on top of cakes or in a toy factory. & if we do not buy all the purple hippo the people will stop making them. & it could be the end for them if we dont do anything. & they will always have a place in my heart & The names must always start with z . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.163.202.158 (talk) 00:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birds Are Not Dinosaurs[edit]

Give a guy a break. I am trying to improve the pre-existing link for BAND about birds. I am meeting resistance on the article Origin of birds, where I want to just mention the acronym "BAND". This should be a simple matter. I don't want to make a big deal about it. Someone can be reading about the evolution of dinosaurs and some across the word BAND and go to Wikipedia and to find out what is being said. A couple of days ago, they would have been directed to an article Evolution of birds, which talks about a lot, but never mentions BAND. I discovered a better explanatin of BAND in the article Origins of birds, but it didn't use the word BAND, so I, naively, just added that to the article, and changed the disambiguation here to point to it. The mentin of the owrd BAND was immediately dleted, and I am now engaged in trying torestore that. And now, I'm got this resisteance to fight at the same time. I'm not trying to start an edit war. Sorry that you're feeling frustrated by the collaboration effort on the birds pages. I know how that can be. And thanks for reaching out on talk instead of doing a knee-jerk revert. The one piece of good news is that there's no real fight to be had on this particular page. As it seems like you know, disambiguation pages are just meant to direct readers to the content that can be found in main space articles. So, once you reach consensus or at least a stable state in the origin and evolution articles, whichever way it goes will just be reflected here. So we don't have to discuss anything. -- Fyrael (talk) 05:13, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
