I'm in support of the proposed merger with Bamboo textiles. Pro crast in a tor (talk) 20:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am against the proposed merger. There are many aspects of bamboo fiber which have nothing to do with textiles. Instead this article should be expanded to deal especially with the use of bamboo fiber in polymers and composites which has more to do with construction than textiles. --Jeffmcneill (talk) 12:33, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

At this point I wouldn't merge anything with Bamboo textiles. That page appears very biased, "...like an advertisement from the bamboo textile industry" according to one contributor on its talk page. If anyone is very familiar with Bamboo textiles (Jeffmcneill perhaps?), I would urge them to check out that article. --Boehrb (talk) 04:37, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am also in favour of merging bamboo textiles with bamboo fibre, perhaps with textiles being a subheading of fibres. I agree that the textile page needs more work to be more neutral. I would like see an expanded section on how the chemicals used in its production affect the sustainable aspect of bamboo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masterwt (talkcontribs) 18:35, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
