Very old manmade stairs, carved from stone, too difficult big to simply transport.[edit]

My family owns an island near the center on the larger side of the lake. This island has very old steps made from very large pieces of stone that were certainly not shaped by nature and that could not have been made anywhere near the recent past. My family had owned the island since the late 60's and there weren't many residents there and my grandfather & family designed and built the home. The steps come up one side and it's strongly believed by my family that these rock steps were used for rituals of some kind... Either Native American or possibly even Viking... But why would the tribes build ritual ground on a lake they're afraid of? It's just one mystery out of many about this lake. 172.221.70.102 (talk) 15:18, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
