The actor being deleted?

The previous "discussion" here is against wikipedia's policy for this page where you can't have random discussions. "This is not a forum for general discussion of Back to the Future: The Ride. Any such messages will be deleted or refactored. Please limit discussion to improvement of this article." Ride's Footage

I put a link to the footage of the ride, you know, for people to enjoy, especially since the rumors of it closing down to create a "Simpsons" Ride are true. I now hate that show.--Ideal4real 00:51, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

The rights to Star Wars are owned by Lucasfilm Ltd, which is an independent production house. The trilogy was distributed by 20th Century Fox, but that does not confer ownership rights. The rights to Star Tours at MGM were sold to Disney by Lucasfilm, not by Fox. David 17:17, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

People on youtube compete by putting the same exact video up on different accounts so they can get credit for it and change the link here on Wikipedia. I say just remove the link to the youtube video since it is a copyright violation anyway. --blm07 13:49, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Ride Closure

Does anyone know the status on the ride closure? I was just there and the ride was still open, but the ride was scheduled to close a couple months ago. I also herd rumors about contracts falling through. Can anyone verify anything and update the article with the info?

Article Cleanup Co-Ordination Point

To be honest, I don't see any of the points mentioned in the header as being particularly applicable. It does need to be organized better, and it needs references. Possible reliable sources might be souvenir materials from the parks and tv shows (e.g. from Travel Channel) that included the ride. I don't think I have anything offhand, unfortunately. Cleanup

Hi! I had a go at trying to tidy things up on the article. I had a bit of a play around, not so sure about the ride logo up in the middle of nowhere - too much white space...Anyway, hope I made a start. Still loads to add, the plot of the ride could be expanded, and maybe add more to what props etc are in the line. I'll leave the cleanup tag on for now. Hope its ok. Blatant untruth? (see version history)

I wouldn't say "blatent," or even "blatant". It would be a completely plausible explanation, if it were true - But you're right, it is impossible. He wasn't even diagnosed until the year the ride opened; he didn't reveal it to the public until seven years later.

Please don't call misinformation "blatant untruth."

The Delorean on Display

One part says that the car was moved to near the Horror Make up but the link to the photo says it's completely gone. Which is it? Can somebody confirm? If I had known it was still at the park I would have confirmed it myself. 74.229.215.99 12:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

The DeLorean is in the park. It's by the train at the corner of Embracadero St and 7th Avenue. You can google map it and see it on street view.

Removing one "goof"

I removed the goof about the time at the clocktower not being frozen at 10:04. In the ride; you travel to Oct. 26, 2015 at 03:44 AM. The clock is last seen at the movie around 5 PM in Oct. 21, 2015 after Griff's gang crashes into it. No one knows of the events that happen between that week. Most likely after the Clocktower was wrecked and needed repairs; the clock was fixed too. Or the 'Save the Clocktower' fund might have toppled over in that week. Internal inconsistency - reason for Hollywood construction

The History section claims that construction of the west copy was due to the success of the east version, while in the Trivia section it is claimed that production was started simultaneously but there were problems with the Hollywood version that took 2 years to resolve. GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:Back to the Future: The Ride/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'm afraid it's a fail and principally because immediately you can see it's largely unreferenced and contains {{cn}} tags. I would suggest referencing a lot of sections and any other claims. But there is a lot to do overall.

Other things to do include

• Expand the lead per WP:LEAD.
• The positions of references should be immediately after the punctuation per WP:CITE. And don't add a second full stop after the citation. The references are also badly formatted.
• Some dates are wikilinked, some aren't. See WP:DATE.
• Check the use of dashes per WP:DASH.
• Numerals less than ten should be written in full per WP:MOSNUM.
• I would also suggest a copy-edit because there is some poor prose. Some examples include but not limited to:
  • "The ride was actually planned to open in Orlando and Hollywood at the same time but due to foundation problems, the Hollywood version opened 2 years later."
  • "First, Biff leads the riders to Hill Valley in 2015, where they chase him through town. They smash into neon signs, flying over neighborhoods and the town square, the chase culminating at the iconic clock tower."
  • "The first and final time traveler, to exit the halls of the Institute of Future Technology in Hollywood, on the day of September 3, 2007 was an 18 year old girl by the name of Irma Girón due to the efforts of the publicity manager of Universal Studios Hollywood."
  • "Visitors to the Institute wait outside the facility, where TV monitors showed a live video feed of Doc. Brown in 2015, as well as videos detailing Brown's inventions."
• Don't force image sizes. And don't fill text between right and left-aligned images. See WP:IMAGE. Peanut4 (talk) 00:40, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
