Comments[edit]

Many ships in the fleet list are shown as UK flagged but with Douglas, Isle of Man as port of registry. The Isle of Man is not part of the UK and so ships registered there are not UK flag.(Ambak51 (talk) 16:04, 17 May 2015 (UTC))[reply]

According to BP's own website they are British flagged.Murgatroyd49 (talk) 16:27, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have now corrected the flags. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 16:37, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To not merge, given the importance of the early history (best coverered separately). Klbrain (talk) 14:35, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

BP Shipping is the British Tanker Company renamed, should the two articles be merged? Weretfeed (talk) 21:03, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, as the history of British Tanker Company in the first half of the 20th century is quite a distinct topic from the modern company, and readers are best served by having them discussed separately. SUMMARY format is in place, with BP Shipping#British Tanker Company having the appropriate main template and a short summary. Klbrain (talk) 15:37, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - the content at British Tank Company, particulary the list of vessels is the sort of thing that should be spun-off into a separate article to keep the size of this article down. GraemeLeggett (talk) 09:17, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
