BNSF Railway Line?[edit]

Metra doesn't call this line by this name. Burlington Northern Santa Fe (Metra), the way it was, while ugly, is actually correct. Gws57 15:30, September 8, 2005 (UTC)

It seems the name has changed along with BNSF's renaming. See [1], [2] and [3]. --SPUI (talk) 15:43, 13 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Weird. My paper timetable dated 2004 still says "Burlington Northern Santa Fe" -- no BNSF, no "line". Oh well! Gws57 22:04, 13 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway changed its name to the BNSF Railway in early 2005. --SPUI (talk) 14:54, 14 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't this article be titled "Metra BNSF Railway Line"? -- User:Schnauf 10:23, 18 November 2005
None of the other articles are titled that way.Tedernst 23:24, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Map glitch[edit]

Okay, there's a problem with the map in this article. It connects to the wrong Western Avenue Station. Instead of going to the Western Avenue (Metra BNSF Railway Line), it goes to the Western Avenue (Metra Milwaukee District/North Line). ----DanTD (talk) 03:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kendall County Extension?[edit]

Metra is proposing an extension to Kendall County with possible stops at Montgomery, Oswego, Yorkville, Plano and Sandwich. How come these stations are not shown as a proposed extension on the template? Maybe fix that? -Bluebunny2 (talk) 14:54, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's still in the study phase, there's no money obligated, and no station sites determined (as far as I know) save Plano. Not much to "fix" at this stage, though now that there's a formal study that's worth discussing. Mackensen (talk) 15:02, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • I’ve reverted the changes for the reasons above. The extension may not even happen. It should only really be added once it gets to a point where there is a solid intention to build it and/or construction takes place. Lost on  Belmont  3200N1000W  (talk) 19:31, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

70 MPH Track Speed?[edit]

Most of Metra's system (except for a few portions such as the McHenry Branch and Rondout-Fox Lake) has a track speed of 79 MPH. Why does this page say 70 MPH? Is track speed really 70 or did the editor get confused? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6000:8D08:D00:C0CB:5A48:6CF8:C0FD (talk) 01:25, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
