All of the information here needs to be re-sectioned and ordered chronologically for cohesion in the article, facts about where Powe lived and mentions of his children belong in a section related to biography rather than career. Books he's written belong in a "Works" section. It seems like people have been adding tidbits to this section with no concern for how they are integrated. In 1997 he moved to Stouffville, Ontario, where he still lives. His children, Kate and Thomas (twins), enrolled at York University in 2010. Powe was featured in The New York Times in an article reflecting on Marshall McLuhan on the centennial of his birth.An article on Powe's work on McLuhan's centennial and of his most recent book, These Shadows Remain: A Fable, was featured in York University's YFile Daily Bulletin. "The Spectral Ball of Theory: A Lyrical Essay", an essay originally intended for Powe's upcoming book, was featured in York University's community newspaper, Exalibur. The website for Ottawa'a Writer's Festival published an article on Powe's contribution to the festival in 2011.

Hi! The career section was a little sloppy. It had no citations. I got BOLD and did a little research then made some edits for grammar, cohesion and citations. This is an article I have a special interest in because of Dr. Powes research in Visionary Literature, so I will continue to contributing as time permits unless anyone had objections.

Conflict of interest and Ownership issues with this autobiography

B.W. Powe, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free web host for you to write about yourself. No one has a right to dictate that a Wikipedia article is "not to be altered" as you did here. No one owns an article in Wikipedia. Your edit makes it appear that you intended to promote your books, yourself and a future speaking engagement. Wikipedia may not be used for promotion. The material was removed from Wikipedia three times until an administrator protected the page to stop a slow-speed edit war leaving a comment, "Protected "B. W. Powe": Addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content".[1] Please read the blue links in this section so that you better understand Wikipedia policies and guidelines.

Wikipedia content guidelines strongly discourage autobiography. Because it is apparent that almost all of this article's content was written by its subject, I added the {{Autobiography}} template. Do not remove it as long as a significant portion of the content was or appears to have been written by J.W. Powe.

No original research and verifiability are fundamental Wikipedia policies. Article content should generally be supported with in-line citations to a published reliable source. Content that is not verifiable may (and should) be removed. There are other less serious issues with the article such as external links.

This article's edit history concerns me. Significant additions to the article were made from multiple university IP addresses with edit summaries that indicate that B.W. Powe was the author such as [2], [3] and [4] or that B.W. Powe "verified" and/or "authorized" the content of the edits, for example [5] and [6]. Wikipedia neither needs nor desires verification or authorization from the subject of an article unless the person is releasing copywrited material. A number of edits were made by single purpose accounts that have been used only to edit this article including User:Auxisanchez and User:Elusivenoodle.

Wikipedia may not be used as an on-line curriculum vitae. Much of the material in the Work section of the article is not suitable for an article in an encyclopedia. For example, that he was "called 'way cool'". Wikipedia policy states, "All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material." There are no in-line citations to support any of the quotes.

Much of the content of the article will have to be removed. I (and hopefully other editors) will look at the deleted content to see if it contains information from reliable published sources with references and add any material that is suitable for a Wikipedia article.
