GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  • Infobox is OK;
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
  • In June 2020, Huff criticized people. This is reporting his opinions about coronavirus. Although controversial, coverage indicates it is Huff's opinions and presented as so. Conforms to BLP.
  • There is significant criticism of this fellow in the media over his (recanted) (joke) about kidnapping 10 Iranian women.
  • He infers that some people (who follow public health guidance on coronavirus) are sheeple.
  • Twitter is defined as user-generated content (see WP:UGC ); the material cited in Reference 139 is not needful and may be removed. See WP:Twitter-EL.
  1. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  • There is a crisp account of each year's play in the major leagues from 2000 through 2010 and moving to Detroit Tigers.
  1. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  • The section on Political views and use of Twitter presents a neutral point of view while reporting somewhat contentious information. It is fair to report that the Giants banned Huff from a ceremony in 2020 due his Twitter comments. This is presented without any pejorative commentary.
  1. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  • Page created 15 March 2004
  • Page has 1,293 edits by 529 editors
  • 90 day page views = 52,145 views with a daily average of 573 views
  • Page was under semi protection twice in 2010; there were two protection periods in 2020, one month and three months.
  • Since the expiration of the last protection (November 2020) there have been 12 reversions of vandalism and unsourced commentary, some of which is due his political views and use of social media, Twitter in particular.
  • While this is not happening every day, Hart is in retirement from baseball. He trades on his baseball recognition, for Twitter notifies Huff is CEO of Alpha American. Huff openly expresses contentious (racist) attitudes and opinions and his political leanings. His business states he is a White Alpha American.
  1. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  • File:Aubrey Huff.jpg = Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic license.
  • File:Aubrey Huff on June 29, 2009.jpg = Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic license.
  • File:Huff and Navarro.jpg = Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic license.
  • File:Aubrey Huff, DET.jpg = Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic license.
  • File:Aubrey Huff (2011).jpg = Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.
  • Media are tagged, relevant and have suitable captions.

  1. Overall:
  • This article is written from a neutral point of view - and in the period of his baseball history - the article keeps the focus and gives a balanced account of his achievements for each team he was signed to.
  • In all probability, Huff may be courting notoriety, in order that he continue to have a presence in the public domain. This article - should it continue to cover the social media activities of Huff - may end up being placed under semi protection as it is likely to continue to attract casual vandalism. Reversions by editors include, inter-alia, we don't need to add every time he's trending on Twitter to his bio , self declared racist, political issues reverted, ‎Political views and use of Twitter: Transphobic.
  • The request for this reassessment told, does not seem ga. At this point in time the article basically satisfies the six criteria of Good Articles. This reassessment now opens up the conversation about this article's status as 'GA' to all involved editors. Please respond below. --Whiteguru (talk) 01:08, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Even though I cared enough to edit the article, Huff is a extraordinarily tedious individual, who deserves to be ignored. But the article meets all the criteria. Timothy Horrigan (talk)
  • I think it still meets the criteria too. It attained GA status at the end of Huff's playing career, meaning it covered the main reasons he was notable (his seasons in the major leagues) in appropriate detail. A quick look at the political section shows that not only are these quotes cited, but the format even looks good on the citations (no bare URLs). Surprised to see this nominated for reassessment, and don't see any reason for delisting. Strong keep. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 03:01, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Keep per above; no substantial issues with the GA criteria stand out. With the request for GAR not providing any useful commentary about the article's state, I'm not even sure this needs open for a week. I updated one all-time ranking, but this pretty much meets the criteria. Hog Farm Talk 01:03, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 On hold for one week.

Passed Article is relisted as GA as per conversations with editors. --Whiteguru (talk) 20:20, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
