Proposal: Break out Guitar-dedicated articles[edit]

Inaccuracies, brevity[edit]

1) A dummy load and an attenuator are not the same thing, and should not be used interchangeably. They may be used in conjunction, however. 2) A lack of discussion on the design and use of attenuators for radio signals (vhf, uhf, microwave) exists.

Moving Component values for resistive pads and attenuators[edit]

A more experienced editor has suggested that I move this section to a template page. I am in the process of doing that.Constant314 (talk) 15:00, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Foot Note Error[edit]

As I see, the first link at the "Notes" section does not work. This may not be appropriate for reliableness. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.187.22.176 (talk) 06:51, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PAD[edit]

PAD is difficult to understand to a NON-nativ english speaking user. Is it an abbreviation or why is this word used for an attenuator ??!!

PAD links to Attenuator , and I searched here for an explanation . It is difficult to find something usefull in a dictionary.

Usually it adds noise, seldom it reduces distortion in audio recording.
