Plagiarism[edit]

A big chunk of the text in "The Basic Story" section looked like it was plagiarised from [1], so I have removed it. Paul1337 10:07, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cast list[edit]

I've added an infobox, but I've left the starring list blank.What is the precedent for listing stars, for this would it be the original stars from the country of origin or is the precedent to list the English stars??

Tiko[edit]

Maybe in the English dubbing Tiko speaks with Italian accent, but in original dubbing (in Spanish) talk like him was born from Cordoba because his accent, Tiko is Spanish, no Italian --Ravave (talk) 11:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rigodon / Passepartout[edit]

Having watched this some 20+ years ago on BBC during the 'broom cupboard' CBBC, I vividly recall the name Passepartout. MrZoolook (talk) 23:02, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thought about it a little more, I think I may be remembering one specific occurrence. Namely an episode with a train, Rigodon gets off right after Fogg, and Fogg calls him Passepartout. MrZoolook (talk) 02:03, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Performers of the English soundtrack[edit]

Originally the article said that the English versions of the songs were performed "by parties unknown." However, I have edited this as the primary vocalist in the English dub can been identified as Ted Mather, who collaborated with the show's composers on several other projects around the time this series was released.

There is a compilation album called Themes from Children's BBC which includes the English version of the theme song, and it outright identifies Ted Mather as the performer. He was collaborating with Guido and Maurizio De Angelis at the time and released at least two songs on a couple of their other soundtracks, "Street Angel" and "Hard Life", and upon comparing these songs to the musical numbers in this series, it's clearly the same person doing not just the theme song but all the singing in the English dub of the series with the exceptions of Romy's singing voice on both the theme song and the character's dedicated musical number, which is clearly supplied by a child (I'd assume this other singer is either Elissa Mather or Hillary Mather, Ted Mather's daughters), and the majority of the "aaah"s on "America, America", which are sung at least partly by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis and are carried over from the latter's version as heard in the "Arrivano i vostri" soundtrack in 1983 (Ted Mather only sings the "aaah"s on the choruses apart from the ones under the line "the ride goes on and we will arrive").

One thing I forgot to add: originally the article also said that the soundtrack was rerecorded for the English dub. I have slightly edited this because just saying it was rerecorded implies the entire soundtrack was redone, which isn't the case; as far as I am aware, the English and Spanish soundtracks are identical with the exception of the vocals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.255.101 (talk) 15:19, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First UK Broadcast[edit]
