This article makes no reference to his title of Marquis.

without achieving a high degree of success?[edit]

The article states that "He entered the army at the age of 15, without achieving a high degree of success. In 1792 he was captain..." being a captain at age 19 is a good start.

Why "1st Duc de Vicence" and not "1st Duke of Vicence"?
Why "1st Duc de Vicence" and not Vicenza?
