Title[edit]

Is there anyone watching this page who can elaborate on the title, and where about "Robertoun" comes from. I know there is a Roberto(u)n in Lanarkshire and one in Roxburghshire (both have their own Wikipedia articles. There is also a Barony of Robertoun and mention of a Roberton House in Kirkcubright as well. Perhaps this could be fleshed out more? Comes.amanuensis (talk) 06:27, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Roberton[edit]

The Douglas family acquired Roberton in Lanarkshire, not the Roberton in Roxburgh Shire. The citation for the reference is in the footnotes here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberton,_South_Lanarkshire Comes.amanuensis (talk) 03:35, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
