Jailed or cleared?[edit]

In this article it says Leopold was "cleared of a grand larceny charge" though in other articles such as Napoleon Diamond Necklace and Infanta Maria Theresa of Portugal it says Leopold was jailed. 155.4.96.9 (talk) 15:56, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He voluntarily turned himself in and spent twelve days in jail before a neighbour posted his bail bond. So both are true. He was actually convicted on the larceny charge the first time around—it was vacated on appeal. GeeJo ^(t)⁄_(c) • 04:19, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
