Neutral POV[edit]

This article uses a lot of language which carries biased implications. The description of the site's creators as "Chinese netizens" certainly assumes a lot; as does the use of the phrase "double-blamed"! --Orange Mike | Talk 15:06, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First the site creator is clearly illustrated as "Rao Jing, a 23 year old Chinese student". There is nowhere I can find "Chinese netizens" and "double-blamed" in the entire wiki page. Please review your comments.

The comments addressed the article as it was at the time I made them. The article as written still seems to take the assertions of the website's supposed creator, and of the spokesperson for the People's Republic of China government, at face value. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:42, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How about suggesting how to improve it? By the way, if it's just a problem with NPOV then you can go to the deletion page and withdraw your comment. Herunar (talk) 12:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I live in Canada and news media here describe the creater of anti-cnn.com as a "netizen". Whether this is the "truth" or not is beyond my call, but I think it is fair to say that he is described as a netizen by the "Western media" if you will. I am also aware that the media here also imply that anti-cnn is a government sponsored movement. However, the media here pickup their stories from sources like Reuters and Associated Press so theres some duplication with the reports from CNN and WP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.252.71.154 (talk) 00:34, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The last paragraph of the article, which has been added fairly recently, seems very POV and appears to contain original research. I have added a tag reflecting this. Xinophiliac (talk) 16:34, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jing age and occupation, conflicting info[edit]

The Washington Post says he's 24 and runs a technology company. The material ascribed to takungpao.com says he's 23 and a student. 86.44.28.245 (talk) 21:27, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to his friends on NewSMTH bbs he's a graduate of Tsinghua University running his own company. I believe the "student" identity is a bit outofdated. In China there are different ways to calculate one's age, so both figures are OK.Helloterran (talk) 01:57, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I had ensured that both accounts were in the article in a neutral way, but the WP info was deleted as "irrelevant" [1], so now we have sources with conflicting info but only one account reflected in our article, which seems to me an error. Also, to me "student" links Jing with idealism, in a subtle way, so it's interesting to find the WP account differs. 86.44.28.245 (talk) 04:05, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

anti-cnn vs. anti-CNN[edit]

The article interchanges the two. On the website, I only see "anti-cnn" being used. I'm going to change the capitalization to reflect that. Either way, it should be consistent. Tell me what you think. DoubleEmblem (talk) 18:47, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing by Benlisquare[edit]

Note that Benlisquare is canvassing at Anti-cnn and is asking to manipulate Wikipedia to counter a perceived Anti-Chinese bias, see [2]. This article is mentioned in his forum post. Novidmarana (talk) 18:34, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Being blocked[edit]

There's a romor that anti-CNN.com was blocked or closed on the 13th July 2009. The website has been inaccessable because its DNS records were deleted from the registered DNS servers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.3.184.208 (talk) 21:58, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the admins, they were updating their servers. Their website is now up and running again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.149.158.81 (talk) 20:35, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unhelpful Sentence[edit]

"CNN means CAO Ni Niao in Chinese words now."

I removed this because it's utterly useless. No Chinese characters. No explanation of what it means. It's about as meaningful an addition as the audible component of gastro-intestinal distress would be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.49.232.20 (talk) 09:45, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious vandalism; 肏你鳥 means "fuck your penis". As for your post, place it at the bottom of the WP:TALK page. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 12:00, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

who added the last paragraph? Jesus! I don't even want to mention how biased it is, but the number of people in the world is 6-1.4=4.4 billion, not 6 billion. Duh! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.36.134.226 (talk) 12:37, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be deleted[edit]

i don't think this page proves anything to get a page on wikipedia, so it should be deleted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nscharan007 (talkcontribs) 22:42, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
