Article overview[edit]

This article was born from sections of Photovoltaics, Photovoltaic system, and Solar cell. These articles all extensively detailed their individual (but redundant) real-world applications in article sub-sections that began to balloon, I thought it best to split the topic off into its own separate article for clarity. New page review[edit]

This is pretty good for a first-time editor. Here are some points that could use improvement:

The tone is not quite correct for an encyclopedia article: it reads more like an essay, which is a different kind of writing, and no doubt one you are more used to as a college student. I'm not a particularly skilled content creator myself and am not sure I could give you advice on how to correct that, apart from reading other "Applications of …" articles, seeing what they are like, and imitating them.
On that specific note, the lead of an encyclopedia article serves a very different purpose from the introduction of an essay: while an essay intro is intended to introduce the background and significance of a topic, an encyclopedia article's lead serves only to summarize its body. The current lead, I feel, does not adequately do that.
