Who inspired whom?[edit]

In the intro to the article, the following language makes it sound like Drill is the open source version of Dremel/BigQuery. In other words, it sounds like Google bases BigQuery on Drill and just potentially adds some proprietary extras on top. However, based on the Dremel page it sounds like Drill and Dremel are independent, and that Drill was inspired by Dremel/BigQuery. This ambiguity should be investigated and clarified.

Drill is the open source version of Google's Dremel system which is available as an infrastructure service called Google BigQuery.
