Untitled[edit]

Yo fellas, I know all about this dude, or it seems a hell of a lot more than you guys do, please could you let me write the full article for him? I promise it will be good.

Be bold. Edit the article or it should be deleted. Roby Wayne Talk • Hist 23:09, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

hey[edit]

Hey i came across this guy in my ancient history degree course in Leon, why did you delete that which i just wrote, i'm pretty sure its correct

It probably keeps being reverted/deleted because the sources aren't cited. Perhaps if you include an external link or some other source, they'll be less likely to revert your changes. Good luck! Roby Wayne Talk • Hist 23:27, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ok[edit]

ok thanks man

"Facts"[edit]

As an antipope John VIII was the direct rival of Pope Sergius II (844 - 847). An antipope shrouded in mystery and mentioned very little in any writings, John VIII is known to have originated from Dorestad, a city in north-west europe (modern day Netherlands).

Do you have a source for that? Considering you've been adding nothing but nonsense to this article for the past hour, I can only assume this is also made up. Owen× 23:53, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

where can i show my source

You seem to know very well how to use this Talk page. Please don't waste our time; if you would like to make a serious contribution to Wikipedia, please do so. If all you want is a place to say "Joe G was here!!", please do so on your own website, and stop vandalizing this page. Owen× 00:15, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please expand[edit]

The article is a stub because some disputed material was removed. See http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Antipope_John_VIII&oldid=22136717 A verifiable reference might be found in Annuario Pontificio, but I don't have access to a copy of the book. --Eastmain 23:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pope or Antipope Joan[edit]

There is a rumor that Pope John VIII was actually the first woman Pope or "Pope Joan."

These rumors concern Pope John VIII and not the guy of this article, don't they? 95.90.226.37 (talk) 21:29, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
