Serious issues with this article[edit]

It appears there was no such person as "Antiochus Strategos". From page 197 of Andrew S. Jacobs, Remains of the Jews, Stanford University Press, 2004:

On the identity of Strategios (who is often confused with another monk of Mar Saba, Antiochos, whose fragments of a similar but distinct account survive in PG 86:3222.-23), see G. W. Bowersock, "Polytheism and Monotheism in Arabia and the Three Palestines," Dumbarton Oaks Papers 51 (1997): 9-10. Some modern studies refer mistakenly to "Antiochus Strategos," an "unfortunate hybrid [who] still stalks the literature on the seventh century" (Bowersock, "Polytheism and Monotheism," 9n33).
