Correction[edit]

Antimaidan → Oppositional movement against to the Euromaidan movement – The movement of Antimaidan is functioning for now being a basis for pro-Russian protests) [1]. It is a movement of Ukrainian citizens who never supported eurointegration. After military turmoil in Kyiv and opposition took forcefully power the Antimaydan showed agai it's disagreement to the Kyiv's junta. Activists of antimaydan do not support ruining their monuments in the East of Ukraine by pro-european activists of maidan (Euromaidan, Right Sector , etc), uniting churches(eastern and western parts have different churches), prohibition of using Russian language in official papers (up to 1991 Russian has been one of the official language of Ukraine, and since 2012 it become a regional language for 8 regions, but it's usage as official was canceled by junta), turning off all the Russian broadcasting, prohibition of broadcasting of Russian and Soviet movies on any Ukrainian television channel, etc. Antimaydan became a proRussian protest. Neutrality of the article[edit]

This article makes it sound as if all anti-maidan protesters were bribed. The lead section is very POV and is extensively biased towards one side. Antimaidan → Opposition to the Euromaidan movement – The usage of the term "Antimaidan" is quite uncommon, and there's nothing pointing to it being an established or official term for this topic.   • Relisting comment: One (only) of the three sources quoted in the article as using the term is in English, [2] but there is one. Relisting to see whether we can get better evidence, and also to see whether we can perhaps come up with a better name than proposed, even if a move is warranted.   • Oppose - 'Anti-Maidan' is a specific wave of protests, whereas 'opposition to the Euromaidan' is much broader. I personally would like to see the present name converted to standard English form, that is 'Anti-Maidan'. However, there is no way the proposed title is any good. Consensus is found in the community agreed-upon style guide that we have, the Manual of Style. MOS:HYPHEN is consensus-based. It says that there should be a hyphen, and so, there should be a hyphen. Not to mention of course, that we are allowed to be WP:BOLD, as Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy. This wasn't even a bold move, though, because all it did was fix the orthography to MOS guidelines. I don't even understand what you are saying. "Anti-Maidan" is no different than "anti-American" or "anti-Russian". One is "anti" something, that is, opposed. It is a compound phrase that always takes a hyphen in English, as the MoS rightly states. RGloucester — ☎ 19:28, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm weary of Google hit counts, but since standard English orthography and the MoS don't convince you, let me give you more junk. There are 3,080,000 results for "Anti-Maidan"[4], and only 237,000 results for "Antimaidan".[5] Media sources in English consistently use "Anti-Maidan", as they should do:
