  • Hello! I'll be reviewing this one. Detailed review should magically appear below within the next 24 hours or, failing that, 48. Moswento talky 13:42, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • So, having given this a good "going over", I conclude that it's oh-so-very-nearly ready for GA promotion. Overall, the prose is well-written, the referencing looks solid, the article seems neutral and stable without plagiarism. The cover art is fine, as is the live image. I have a few minor queries below, but once these are responded to, I will be delighted to promote this. Good work! Moswento talky 13:57, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Lead
  • "Anonymous charted in several countries, reaching positions in Australia, Norway and the United States." - this seems an overly-long way of saying "Anonymous charted in Australia, Norway and the United States"
Production
  • "Patton's former Mr. Bungle bandmate Trevor Dunn became the band's bass player in 2012." - is this relevant? It seems appropriate to the band's article, but not to this album.
  • "Denison found books of traditional music" - The source says he found "transcriptions", I don't see that we can tell if they were loose-leaf or bound.
  • At the end of the article, I don't have much of an idea what this album sounds like. I gather it's somewhat experimental, and one review compares it to Zappa and Mr Bungle, but is there anything you could add beyond "Denison has called Anonymous a "kind of a detour" from Tomahawk's usual sound, and described it as a concept album"? (In saying this, I'm not suggesting you give it a specific genre - I see from the edit history that you removed the genre label previously)
Release and reception
  • " to the musical culture they were working within" - "the musical culture within which they were working"? (optional change)
  • " finding that " - "concluding that"?
  • "CMJ New Music Monthly" - shouldn't this be italicised?
Personnel
  • I think some kind of "Credits adapted from Allmusic" kind of note would be helpful here. I gather that's the typical way of handling referencing for these sections.
References
  • Footnote 8 - iTunes is acceptable as a source, but if you can find an alternative it might make me happier. And you want to make me happier, don't you?

Comment[edit]

It's been over three weeks since this review was done, and no response here from the nominator, who has been active elsewhere. Perhaps setting a deadline of a April 8—one month from the review's completion—would be in order? BlueMoonset (talk) 00:03, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Grapple X's Wiki activity has been fairly minimal since the start of his review, and I have left a note on his talk page previously. I think it's probably best to just close this as unsuccessful. Grapple X: if you ever want to submit this to GA again, just drop a note on my talk page and I'll put it to the top of my review list. Moswento talky 12:16, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
