War graves in Annscroft Churchyard[edit]

Anyone visiting the churchyard after reading the information I added on the war graves may at the moment see only one CWGC headstone. However, the First World War soldier mentioned is due to have a headstone erected on his (presently unmarked) grave in about the middle of 2017. I write as one who submitted burial register evidence for the existence of his grave to the CWGC who have, I am glad to say, accepted it and now commemorate him under Annscroft Churchyard, having hitherto been commemorated as a No Known Grave case under the United Kingdom (1914-1918) Memorial at Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey.Cloptonson (talk) 14:54, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Update - the headstone was placed in September 2017.Cloptonson (talk) 19:23, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
