Questions on comments[edit]

1. Regarding "needs more general news coverage" ... can you clarify? There are sources cited here from major and art world news outlets, some of which are in other accepted glass artists in Wikipedia like Joey Kirkpatrick

2. Regarding Wikipedia artist criteria for Ann Morhauser: based on the coverage in the attached references and noted in article, she did pioneer and patent glass techniques. She also is quite unique in starting a company which is similar to artists like Jeff Koons who have dozens of people working for them.

@AngusWOOF Can you clarify? 68.36.248.230 (talk) 00:14, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The sources are from local papers and coverage. Also the Forbes contributor piece is not reliable, see WP:RS. The Craft Council looks like it's going to be a directory entry / profile. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 15:31, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The American Craft Council profile is behind a paywall, so it can't be verified. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 15:51, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also concerned this was drafted by someone associated with the subject, given the use of two-letter postal codes typical of press releases. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 15:52, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@68.36.248.230 As for institutions, we have Smithsonian American Art Museum (confirmed), the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow, Scotland (still needs to be verified), and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York (per Whitehouse, David. Corning Museum of Glass: A Decade of Glass Collecting 1990-1999. United Kingdom: Harry N. Abrams, 2000) which would satisfy WP:ARTIST. The article does need to be more neutral, as it relies too much on the artist's commercial output which can jeopardize WP:NPOV (like the part about her patented process which sounds a bit like an advertisement). A good approach to articles on BLP artists who are notable but not very well known internationally is to start with one heading "Life and career" and then divide it up as more content is added; otherwise, it might be tempting to add more than necessary information to subsections and that can result in puffery. As @AngusWOOF already mentioned, sources need to be cleaned up, too, so as not to sound commercial. I hope this helps! Ppt91talk 18:31, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I still can't find any sources for Glasgow besides self-published statements. Is it Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow or Gallery of Modern Design? Or both? AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 19:32, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Artist meets WP:ARTIST[edit]

Meets WP:ARTIST criteria 2 and 4 as mentioned below:

4. The person's work (or works) has: (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums. 50.49.217.105 (talk) 15:58, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
