An editor has deleted a large amount of sourced content from the article on the grounds of WP:BLP. I may be misunderstanding, but it appears to me that BLP states that we can't include unsourced or poorly sourced negative material about a subject--not that we can never include negative material about a subject. The allegations have received national and international attention, and the charges are being formally pursued by the National Human Rights Commission of India. It would make this article incomplete not to include them here. (I would like to include more of a response from Garg, though, if anyone could find one. I didn't have much luck in first writing the article, but I'm only able to use English-language news; perhaps more multilingual editors might have more luck?)

I made the changes as per WP:BLP which under Wikipedia:BLP#Persons accused of crime clearly states as follows, "A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted by a court of law. For people who are relatively unknown, editors must give serious consideration to not including material in any article suggesting that the person has committed, or is accused of committing, a crime unless a conviction is secured."

I'm not sure I agree with your description that Ankit Garg is "relatively unknown". (If you truly feel he's not a notable figure, incidentally, you should consider nominating the article for deletion.) He won a national police award, has received repeated national attention for a variety of reasons, and because of the Sori case has been the target of activist campaigns by international NGOs. A search of the Google News archives turns up at least a hundred English-language stories about him;[1] a search of the Highbeam database also turns up 50+. There are literally hundreds of people who have received Police medal, see here from official list on Govt of India site http://india.gov.in/myindia/awards.php?type=PMG . It's not as unique as you might think. Other than this medal there is no notable achievement or works of Ankit Garg that is listed, this wikipage seems more of a character assasination attempt with a bunch of allegations made by an undertrial Sori against her arresting officer Ankit garg. I dont see the need to repeat such blind allegations when they are unproven and further when wikipedia explicitly prohibits from inserting such defamatory claims in biographical wikis. Sure, I'll post at WP:BLP/N and ask for input. In the meantime, you might also take a look at one of our core policies, assuming good faith. I'm sorry you're so skeptical of my motives, but I didn't write this article as an attempt at character assassination; I wrote it as an attempt to sum up the coverage of reliable sources on Ankit Garg, like any Wikipedia article. I believe I also posted at the time at the WikiProject India noticeboard for a second opinion to make sure this article was balanced; I'm not sure if anyone ended up looking at it or not.
