Uniform format proposal[edit]

A proposal is being floated at the project page that there be a standard format for organising each article about national provinces of the Anglican Communion, including this one. Please consider participating in the straw vote and discussion. Cheers! Fishhead64 21:51, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk:Personal Ordinariate[edit]

Apart from the Traditional Anglican Communion, the article should really consider verifying whether groups within the Anglican Church of Tanzania have ever sought a similar canonical structure to the proposed personal ordinariates. ADM (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of Archbishops[edit]

I would like to ask to someone with that knowledge to please provide a full list of the Archbishops of the Anglican Church of Tanzania. I know that the first one was John Sepeku, enthroned in 1970. After that I only know Donald Mtetemela (1998-2008), Valentino Mokiwa (2008-2013) and Jacob Chimeledya (since 2013).Mistico (talk) 19:16, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I found out a list of the Archbishops of Tanzania at The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to the Anglican Communion [1]. I am adding them to the entry.Mistico (talk) 01:11, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a citation of your source. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:01, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Archbishops section and the Bishops of Zanzibar section should become subsections of a new section (probably Bishops and archbishops), together with the bishops of the Universities' Mission to Central Africa, the predecessor diocese. There are several Wikipedia articles on 19th century British bishops in Africa (possibly resulting from data extraction from old clerical directories). Image of Zanzibar Anglican Cathedral[edit]

The image of the Cathedral on this page , although historically correct, is not up to date. The Cathedral underwent a large restoration led by the World Monuments Fund and funded from many sources, the principal contributor being the EEC. It incorporates an up to date education centre on the subject of the Slave Trade. Although there is further work to be done, including improved protection, to the windows, the main restoration was completed in 2016/17.

The wiki web page could be much improved by inserting an image of the restores Cathedral. There are several on the internet, probably the best one being the safari254 one but the episcopal news service also has a good one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.100.12.125 (talk) 13:29, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
