Title[edit]

Proteus, can you say why you'd like to start the article with a title? It makes the page look a bit strange, and we don't normally do it that I'm aware of. SlimVirgin (talk) 17:54, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Peter?[edit]

He is also uncle to Lord Peter William Robin Alexander Russell who despite not being a son is a close companion to the Duke. Lord Peter and the dear Duke both refer to one another as 'honorary father' and 'honorary son' this is thought to be homage to the ill-fated Earl Mountbatten of Burma and the Prince of Wales who are relations of the family.

"Lord Peter Russell" is the style of a younger son of a duke or marquess. Did one of the present duke's brothers marry a peeress in her own right? (Are there currently any such of that rank?) The passage is the sole contribution of 81.157.233.215. I'll cut it as a presumed hoax. —Tamfang 17:00, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's no one in the Duke's immediate family of that name (certainly no one with a courtesy title), and "Peter William Robin Alexander Russell" gets no Google hits, so I think it's safe to assume you're right and it's a hoax. Proteus (Talk) 18:46, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
