notability[edit]

This is really not a notable copyright case. Frankly I doubt it is notable in the context of Rocky, either. Thoughts? --lquilter 14:39, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd respectfully disagree, as the crux of the case--that unsolicited, uncomissioned scripts written using previously copywritten characters are considered to be without new copywritable material. In the years and decades since the case, fan fiction (particularly online) has grown--but Anderson v. Stallone reminds these creators of fan fiction that the own nothing from their stories, even new characters. SupermanML 17:06, 21 September 2008.

Incomprehensibility[edit]

I couldn't understand what this case was about. What did the producers of Rocky do that led to the suit? Did they use anything in Anderson's script? Was Anderson trying to have his script used, or not used, or trying to reuse his characters and situations, or just claiming that he was owed money for something? —JerryFriedman (Talk) 22:21, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
