Most of this article has nothing do with anarchism[edit]

It's essentially just a condensed Armenian history article that doesn't even mention anarchism until the Independent Armenia section. It is also disproportionately focused on the Armenian Revolutionary Federation which has never been an anarchist group. Charles Essie (talk) 05:46, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For the section "Christianity in Medieval Armenia": The anarchic tendencies of the Paulicians and Tondrakians were mentioned in one of the sources, but without a specific indication of that, it definitely looks out of place. Think it might be best to drastically reduce this section to a couple sentences.
For the section "The Armenian Enlightenment": Likewise, Shahamir Shahamirian is mentioned as an influence on Armenian anarchism, but only as a proponent of constitutionalism. It seems Mikayel Nalbandian had a more of an active connection with anarchism and a direct influence on Armenian anarchists, so maybe cutting down on the bit about Shahamirian will refocus this.
For the section "The Armenian Revolutionary Federation": You're right that it was never an anarchist group, but it had anarchists among its members (including one of its founders) and drew directly from anarchism in many places. Perhaps what would be best here would be to identify the parts that aren't explicitly connected to anarchism and remove them.
For the section "The Revolutionary period": This strikes me as entirely superfluous and could easily be cut for concision.
For the section "World War I and the Armenian genocide": This is another section that seems to only exist for context, and could largely be cut down.
For the section "The Armenian Republic": Another section that seems to exist more for context than anything else. The only part directly relevant to anarchism is the mention of the ARF losing its libertarian socialist tendencies upon being driven into exile. So this could easily be cut down for concision.
For the section "Soviet Armenia": This is probably the section that suffers most from undue weight. There is only a single direct reference to anarchism and that is about Alexander Atabekian being killed during the Great Purge. This could do with massive cuts.

Sounds good to me. Charles Essie (talk) 04:35, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
