"Second smallest county seat"[edit]

Hi

If Amidon is the second smallest county seat in the US, which county seat is the smallest? CheepnisAroma 23:13, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Couldn't tell you. --MatthewUND(talk) 00:15, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, some websites say Amidon is the second smallest, others say it is the smallest. ◊ CheepnisAroma 12:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is now in the article. Amidon is now the second largest incorporated county seat. Brewster Nebraska is the smallest incorporated. There are two other smaller county seats but they are incorporated.Americasroof (talk) 20:34, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

pronunciation[edit]

I'm moving the pronunciation here, as it's not easily fixable:

(/ˈæmɪhdɒn/ AM-ih-don)

Is the last syllable really pronounced "dawn", or is it slurred, as in Armageddon or Gordon? — kwami (talk) 01:09, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's said like the name Don, or dawn in speakers with the cot-caught merger. Not like the don in the two examples you provided. --Mwmnp (talk) 06:17, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It's just the funny "ih" I need to clean up, then. — kwami (talk) 09:15, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
